Conference Report: 44th LACUNY Institute at Baruch College, the City University of New York, New York City, New York, held May 18, 2007

摘要

The theme of the 2007 LACUNY (Librarians Association of the City University of New York) Institute was "Technology with a Face: High Tech Meets High Touch" held 18 May, 2007 at Baruch College, the City University of New York. As introduction to the tone of the meeting, the 2007 LACUNY Institute website described librarians as historically feeling pride in the face-to-face relations with library users. As we learn to adapt to the new and diverse student population we are discovering that the "net generation" has different exceptions of libraries and their resources, we have adult learners returning to school, and international students bringing unique challenges to academic libraries.
