Celebrating architectural education

The RIBA will never be the same! A year ago I mooted the idea of free student membership. On 1 January the scheme officially started at the tiny cost of some 1 % on other subscriptions. On reflection and following a survey of members and practices, this seemed more sustainable and fair than a voluntary sponsorship system, which would have had greater administration costs.
