Structural glazing and technical solutions supplied by Sika were used in the comprehensive redevelopment of Winchmore House in Fetter Lane, London, to create a contemporary commercial property.The eight-storey building, owned by the British Steel Pension Fund, has been extensively re-modelled. An exposed waterside site is being given a new lease of life with utilization of advanced materials and solutions. The mix, type and fixing of the rainscreen cladding being used potentially posed a problem. The solution, weis developed by Taylor Woodrow, timber frame supplier Prestoplan and leading membrane supplier Glidevale.
