The method involves receiving a list of references from a user of a computer device, and performing a literature survey automatically in a database. Each reference is recognized. A hypertext link is created for each reference based on items that characterize the references. The list of references is compared with an existing list of references stored in a memory. The existing reference data is updated with the reference if the reference is presented in the existing reference list. A part of the list of references to the hyperlink is displayed for the user based on the items. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer apparatus comprising a processor (2) a computer program comprising set of instructions for a network literature performing a method (3) a data carrier comprising a computer program.
