This year's awards are not arnparticularly spectacular bunch, and it is a pity that the number of awards and commendations was not greater for Festival Year. Butrnthe commissioning of award winning buildings is not something that can be orchestrated.rnNevertheless, it is interesting to note that much of the work is small scale and the design approach low key - the antithesis of the concrete jungles/destruction of our cities jibes that are still aimed at the profession.
