Some may be familiar with the issue that cropped up with the release of BS 6465 in 2006, which revised the recommendations for sanitary accommodation standards. The Building Regulations set out in approved document Part G 1992 (amended in 2000) give the requirement under regulation G1 as provision of adequate sanitary conveniences. Establishing adequacy, especially with regard to commercial offices, had previously been the province of BS 6465 in its previous guise of 1994 vintage. And the approved document actually references the previous 1984 version.
