摘要

David Adjaye (RIBAJ February 2012) is right to highlight the need for more vocational courses in African countries. In rural sub-Saharan Africa large numbers of schools and health centres are urgently required. These should be simple and inexpensive buildings but unfortunately few schools of architecture in Africa seem to see the design and construction of such buildings a suitable subject for study.
