摘要

Recent hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) are provided with a motor cooling structure that uses lubricatory automatic transmission fluid (ATF) in the motor to improve cooling performance, as the authors of this present paper proposed previously. We closely analyzed the heat flow in a motor that used ATF for cooling, by measuring temperature at many points in the motor and evaluating a section of the motor under operating conditions, and successfully established that ATF improves motor cooling performance.
