Will switch to automated cart-based recycling collection, a change from the current system of manual collection. Reinstated its residential curbside recycling program after suspending it in April 2020 due to financial challenges related to COVID-19. Added 14 drop-off recycling receptacles around the county. Introduced a single-stream drop-off recycling collection option, charging customers $5 per residential load and $10 for commercial loads. Will roll out composting receptacles to local businesses within the city's sanitation district. Will require garbage haulers to offer organics collection service beginning in 2022. Launched a mobile app to help inform residents when recycling is collected and which items are recyclable in the local program.
