Suspended its recycling program after a local hauler told city officials there are no nearby markets for the commingled recyclables the city generates. Proposed to eliminate curbside recycling as part of its upcoming fiscal year budget. Opened another drop-off glass recycling site, adding the location after glass was removed from the local curbside recycling program. Reopened a local drop-off recycling center in August with new safety measures after the facility closed in March in response to COVID-19. Will temporarily stop its residential recycling program, citing low resident participation.
