Pyrotechnical Anti-Rollover System (PARS) Is a novel active safety system for preventing the vehicle from rollover at the last second, when all other active safety systems have been activated, but failed to protect the car. The system utilizes external pyrotechnical force actuators as shown in Figure 1. They essentially are redesigned airbag unities which can generate a strong reaction force by shooting out the high-pressure gas into the atmosphere (Figure 2). By deploying the actuators at the right time, the reaction forces produce a stabilizing anti-rollover moment and can save the vehicle from the anticipated rollover.
