Customizable Bracket for Joints with Large Tolerance Requirement Produced via In-Situ Linear Friction Welding

This invention is related to the use of Linear Friction Welding (LFW) for manufacturing and assembly of structural attachment brackets in-situ tor joints which require that the attachment concept is able to accommodate significant tolerance of the items to be attached. Any structural joint required to accommodate significant tolerances can make use of the invention after necessary geometrical modifications-Linear Friction Welding is a well-known process, but is usually used to join dissimilar metals. The purpose of the invention is to allow the structural joining of 2 or more structural parts in an assembly, despite significant geometrical tolerances in the position of the parts to be joined.
