摘要

This paper considers the possibilities of extending to molecules the laser methods of controlling the motion of atoms. Techniques are analyzed involving the cyclic interaction between the laser field and the molecule at two energy levels by stimulated quantum transitions alone. The use of the sympathetic cooling technique is suggested for molecular ions, this potentially enabling one to obtain extremely narrow spectral lines suitable for the detection of the splitting of energy levels in molecular enantiomers due to parity violation.
