摘要

Internet businesses must take a proactive role to inform federal regulators and Congress how to create policies that will enhance trust online, several speakers told attendees at the Global Internet Summit March 7 in Fairfax, Va. Bob Lewin, chief executive officer and executive director of privacy seal program TRUSTe, said the private sector has worked with the Federal Trade Commission to craft online policy, such as those protecting children and health records.
