The potential for off-grid installations to pioneer the wider adoption of renewables in sub-Saharan Africa has recently been highlighted by French solar power company Tenesol. At the COP-17 climate conference in Durban, Tenesoi announced a goal of developing an on-grid market in the region alongside its established off-grid business.
