The United States Federal government collects a variety of statistics that measure the health and well-being of its citizens. One effort has been the gathering in one internet site of statistics related to children and families. The agency responsible for collecting and analyzing the data is the Federal Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics. The Interagency was established in 1997 by Executive Order 13045. This forum, comprising 22 federal agencies, produces an annual report, "America's children: key national indicators of well-being", otherwise known as Childstats.gov. Besides the current report, the website provides previous America's Children reports starting in 1997.
