Asian Americans: An Encyclopedia of Social, Cultural, Economic, and Political History

This encyclopaedia, reviewed here in its electronic version but also available in three print volumes, covers a wide range of issues related to the Asian experience in the USA. It includes biographical sketches and articles about historical events and elements of Asian American culture, the scope extending to the Southeast Asian experience, as well as that of Chinese, Japanese and Korean Americans. Upon logging in, the first interaction with the encyclopaedia is on ABC-Clio platform, but that switches to ABC-Clio's implementation of the Tizra® Publisher platform. Navigation is simple - a left sidebar offers the ability to zoom in or out, quickly access the Table of Contents and alphabetical list of entries, extract text, access a printable version and share links on social media. Page thumbnails at the bottom of the interface made it easy to browse nearby articles, and users can click left and right arrows on the side of the displayed page to move one page ahead or back.
