Ud to 20 Class 60s could be overhauled

DB Schenker is to evaluate overhauling "between 15 and 20" Class 60s next year with a final figure dependent on how much it costs to give the first loco the equivalent of a full classified overhaul. Under the previous management, DBS had been trying to eradicate use of Class 60s because the locos, built in 1989-93, were overdue expensive overhauls. However this led to some trains being reduced in load and/or double headed by Class 66s, neither solution being ideal to the company.
