Victorian steam for Worcester- Shrewsbury 150 celebrations

To mark the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Severn Valley Railway (SVR) - which created the first rail link between Worcester and Shrewsbury - the railway is to stage its debut Victorian Weekend on May 19/20. It is hiring Victorian steam locomotives from the 1860s and 1870s, along with a 'Queen Victoria', brilliantly portrayed by actress Sylvia Strange, who will travel the length of the line, addressing her 'subjects'.
