Michael Owen has bought 20057 from HNRC with the view to restoring it as a preserved loco rather than joining his main pair of 20142/189. HNRC's 20016 also looks to be changing hands with two HNRC employees likely to take the 1958 pilot scheme loco on as a preservation project. 20121 may also be getting a new owner, although as we closed for press it was suggested that no sale had yet been concluded. The loco has been inspected at Leeming Bar on the Wensleydale Railway with a view to purchase for preservation. The loco runs but has a defective bogie spring which will need repairing before it can haul trains. Its bodywork is also in a very poor state. 20016/057 will need full rebuilds.
