New era for the WSR dining services

A new agreement has been reached for the West Somerset Railway (WSR) Quantock Belle dining train to be run by West Somerset Railway PLC from January 2, 2017. This is the organisation that operates all other trains on the railway. Until now the Quantock Belle had been run by Promotions, the trading company of the WSR Association, the main supporters' group. It is the latest step in a series of reconciliatory moves following the stabilisation of the association, with the election of a fresh board of trustees, replacing those who had supported an attempted 'coup' to undermine the railway.
