47Cab goes for a ride

A RATHER unusual loco move took place on November 1/2, 2017 when the surviving third of Class 47/7 47738 and its single bogie, jokingly referred to as a 'Class 15.66' (ie one-third of a 47), were moved from Plymouth to Railway Support Services premises in the West Midlands. RSS provided a jacking and packing crew as well as road transport to enable the extraction of the Class 47 cab section from the Regional Interactive Safety Centre building adjacent to Plymouth North Road station.
