2001 State of the NRC

RT&S: With one year of your two-year term as chairman of NRC com-I pleted, how would you judge the accomplishments of NRC over the past year? BRACE: The past year has been a great experience. Ray, Richard and I have a great working relationship and I believe that we have increased our national exposure in various ways. Number One, we have had a number of intimate fund raisers with key representatives and senators and they now have a better understanding of what the railroad contracting industry is all about and how government action or inaction affects us. Number Two, I believe we have tightened and reinforced our relationship with other associations such as ASLRRA, RPI, RTA and REMSA. And, Number Three, we have added a number of new members to our association, as well as to our board, who in the past did not see a reason to join or were not active in NRC activities.
