Concentrating on running trains - a necesary solution

As many of you are aware, my family's business is known as Delta Railroad Construction, based out of Ashtabula, Ohio. It's been in the private railroad construction industry for generations. In fact, most of the NRC's rail contractor member companies have, too. All of us are familiar with the "nuts and bolts" of track construction and maintenance-of-way work. And, we've all been competing against each other for years. This is probably one of the core reasons for our frustrations when we lose jobs to a government-subsidized corporation such as Amtrak.
