With the second draft of the experts of the Feder-al Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) on the 'Deutschland-Takt', a target concept is available which Stretches far into the future referring to parts of the infrastructural measures. It is urgently required to work out an intermediate level that can be realistically built and financed for a period, e.g. up to 2035. The Chance, to systematically restructure the long-distance rail System below ICE/IC level including their difficult interfaces to the public transport, has failed. The "NeiTec" technology was not systematically integrated either. Here, there is still some work to be done and some "sprinter lines" in competition to the air traffic should be added. The economic efficiency has to be strengthened as well. The au-thor describes essential requirements to improve punctuality. If changing trains at "hubs" is to be completed swiftly, many stations will have to be adapted. Clarification is also needed on the use for the vehicles. With half-hourly cycles on the main routes and some additional Sprinters, the basis is laid for the goal to double the numbers of passengers.
