In snowy cold regions, the number of railroad level crossing accidents in winter is larger than that in other seasons, so that the weather condition like snowfall or snow coverage is considered to have a large influence on the occurrence of the accident. The previous studies have assessed safety of the railroad level crossings based on the equipment information which doesn't contain the information of weather conditions around. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to develop a method to assess the safety of railroad level crossing with due consideration on the factors of weather conditions. We have applied the method to a case study and improved its assessment precision.%本研究では,冬期の気象要因等を考慮することにより,積雪寒冷地における踏切の安全性を評価する手法を提案した。本手法を積雪寒冷地の踏切へ適用した結果,事故件数の推定値と実際の値の相関が0.81となったことから,積雪寒冷地の踏切事故要因を完全に説明しきれたとは言えないが,十分な説明能力を持つと考えられる。また,本手法を用いることによって,積雪•寒冷地を含め,各踏切の安全性評価,各踏切の事故要因の診断,踏切事故対策による事故低減効果の推定等に活用することができる。
