Istanbul orders M7 and M8 trainsets

Hyundai Rotem has signed a 156.5bn won contract to supply rolling stock for two Istanbul metro projects. Line M8 is to receive 10 four-car driverless trainsets. The 14.3 km route between Bostanci and Dudullu will serve 13 stations. The trains will be 86.3 m long and 2 900 mm wide, with capacity for 1081 passengers.
