Dedicated to preserving the history of the railroads that served the anthracite coal mining region of eastern Pennsylvania, including Central Railroad of New Jersey; Lackawanna; Lehigh Valley; Reading; Lehigh & New England; and Lehigh & Hudson River. Members receive Flags, Diamonds & Statues three times a year, and the Anthracite Extra newsletter occasionally. The society has an annual meet, and a portion of the society's digital library is on the website. The society owns and maintains the A-B-A set of Lackawanna-painted F3s presently operating at Steamtown NHS.
