More Class 385 EMUs arrive in Scotland

Two more three-car Class 385 electric multiple units (EMUs) were delivered to Scotland on April 18. Assembled at Hitachi's Newton Aydiffe facility, 385038/039 were taken to Craigentinny for testing and commissioning. This leaves eight of the EMUs to be dispatched from the County Durham site (385040-044, 385119-121), while four pre-series sets are due to arrive shortly from Pistoia (Italy), where they have received an interior refit following testing in both Scotland (385001, 385102) and mainland Europe (385002, 385101).
