SINCE my Rail Rover review appeared in RAIL 878,I have had to give details of changes, plus further clarifications, in The Fare Dealer in three successive issues (RAIL 880,881,882). RAIL 880 dealt with Sleepers and the All-Line Rover, the omitted Northern Explorer 55 West Day Ranger and Thameslink DaySave; RAIL 881 detailed the Ffestiniog & West Highland with an All-Line, the Isle of Wight Late last year (RAIL 865), I explained users' rights when travelling with split tickets. I said it makes no difference, and the operator that caused any delay must compensate for the whole journey (based on the amounts shown in its own charter), provided those separate rickets were purchased in order to make a through journey.
