UIC publishes Eurailinfra project final report

The Infrastructure Commission of the International Union of Railways (UIC) recently published the final report of the Eurailinfra project. The results of this UIC initiative will be extremely useful in evaluating the level of capacity currently available on railway infrastructure and planning capacity enhancements to meet future growth in traffic demand. Over recent years, a range of studies have sought to forecast growth trends for rail traffic and identify bottlenecks on the main corridors used in Europe.
