Network RUS making the case for electrification

A stakeholders' meeting convened by Network Rail on September 15 as part of workstream development for its Network Route Utilisation Strategy was informed that a good financial case can be made for electrifying both the Midland and Great Western main lines. Publication of the final Network RUS is scheduled for 'winter 2008-09', according to NR.
