Virgin goes public on West Coast extension bid

News of the proposal to run the first of the new Pendolino sets on the East Coast Main Line (p7) gave Virgin Trains the opportunity to go public with a franchise extension proposal it had submitted to DfT on June 4. The proposal is an enhanced version of Virgin's previous offer to manage the Pendolino lengthening project in return for a two-year franchise extension at West Coast.
