DfT has begun to reach agreement with TOCs over the allocation of Class 150 DMUs to be released by London Midland and London Overground once Bombardier starts Class 172 deliveries, reports Tony Miles. While final negotiations with Northern Rail and London Midland continue, an agreement was signed with First Great Western (RBI361 p6) on March 2.rnWhile FGW will take over six London Overground Class 150/1 sets from May, it will then sublease them back until eight Class 172s arernin service at London Overground. Despite initial suggestions that DfT would not allow the Class 150s to move to FGW until Class 172 reliability was satisfactory, it has now put a deadline in the contract.
