The punctuality of passenger services only marginally improved in Period 6 to September 17, with the average PPM score up at 92-4% from 92-3% in P5 (RB1397 p4), and down from 93-5% in P6 last year. The largest single incident in P6 this year was due to cable theft outside London Bridge on September 6 which disrupted almost 1 000 Southern and FCC services, 'causing 12 476 minutes or 8-6 days of delays', according to Network Rail. c2c retained its place at the top of the PPM table in P6, a position it has held for seven periods this year. Virgin Trains (p1) came bottom with a score of 82-1%, which TOC insiders described as 'desperately poor'.
