Improving Crosscountry performance

Amongst the Long-Distance TOCs, Crosscountry is also struggling to deliver consistent performance, with its services affected by any delays on the vulnerable East and West Coast main lines as well as at major nodes. 'Not only does Crosscountry have a bad day if either of these routes has a problem', a senior Crosscountry insider told RBI, 'but there is often a bigger challenge if they both have a bad day; then their individual PPMs can suffer but CrossCountry's can be twice as bad'.
