London Midland continues to plan its timetable on a daily basis as it works to manage an ongoing driver shortage (RB1425 p8). This situation is likely to continue until new rostering plans are introduced with the December 9 timetable change. The TOC was particularly affected over the recent half-term holiday when fewer drivers were available for rest day working. Since then, some days have seen a full service while others have seen a significant number of cancellations, with 30 of 1 200 scheduled services not running on November 10.
