RAIB investigates faulty diagram

RA1B is investigating potentially dangerous faults in a workstation diagram at Network Rail's East Midlands Control Centre in Derby. These came to light on March 22 after a motorist stopped at 07.38 at the Lindridge Farm user-worked crossing on the freight-only Leicester - Burton-on-Trent route. The motorist phoned the signaller at Derby to seek permission to raise the barriers manually before crossing the railway.
