ORPS now REPS as DfT restructures Rail Executive

A number of changes within the DfT Rail Executive came into effect from November 3. The creation of Rail Executive - Passenger Services, previously given the working title of the Office of Rail Passenger Services, completed the changes announced in February (RB1457 p1). Under Managing Director Peter Wilkinson, REPS brings together franchise competitions, direct awards, franchise management plus rolling stock and operational fares matters into what Rail Executive Director General Clare Moriarty terms 'integrated teams focused on the end-to-end management of specific passenger markets'.
