Phased programme for Class 365 refurbishment

First Capital Connect returned the first of its refurbished Class 365 EMUs to revenue service on January 16. Owned by Ever-sholt Rail, the 40 Class 365s are receiving a C6X overhaul and refresh at Bombardier Transportation's llford depot in east London. Originally awarded to Rail-care, the contract was terminated when that company went into administration in July 2013 [RB1444 p5). The contract was re-let (RB1451 p6) and Bombardier has rolled out the first unit nine weeks after contract award.
