Further delay to Swansea electrification?

Speaking at the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham earlier this month, Transport Secretary Chris Grayling would not be drawn on the timescale for completing electrification between Cardiff and Swansea. He cautioned that electrification to Cardiff had to be the first priority, adding 'the point is that the hybrid trains that are going to be running on that route, [Swansea] will get those as quickly as Cardiff. So my first priority is to make sure that we get those new trains on the route'.
