RMT ballots at Arriva Train care

RMT announced on April 12 that it is balloting members at roll-ing stock maintenance business Arriva Traincare for strike action and action short of a strike over the company's latest pay offer. The ballot closes on May 2. RMT says that it had met with Arriva Traincare with a view to 'attaining a decent pay award'. However, it was made clear to the negotiating team that the com-pany was not prepared to enter into pay negotiations with RMT, as it did not recognise the union.
