Conwy Valley repairs underway

Network Rail expects the Conwy Valley Line between Llandudno Junction and Blaenau Ffestiniog to reopen in mid-April, as it undertakes an extensive programme of repair work. The route had been closed on February 23 when the high winds of Storm Doris (RB1530 p7) caused a tree to fall on the line at Blaenau Ffestiniog, disturbing vegetation on a rock face next to the railway.
