This show is undoubtedly one of the most friendly and enjoyable shows on the circuit and its certainly one of the best for the punters. This year we had a full size Spitfire and Hurricane swooping in over the Somerset levels, flicking through the trees and you don't see that at a full size airshow, let alone a model one, with the Battle of Britain DC-3 also paying us a visit, displaying similarly. The models were as diverse as they come; from Phil Parminter's submarine-busting Sunderland, complete with pyrotechnic bombs and a foam sub, which they sank in a cloud of smoke and flame, to Ali Maschinchy's turbine Concorde, which has a very strong West Country heritage of course. Yep the show was a stunner.
