As I recall, I quoted a Mark E. Smith lyric following my last spell of hospitalisation. It couldn't be more apt this time, but more of that later. I do apologise to all Sport Channel's readership for the non-appearance of the column in the last issue. Judging by the large number of kind messages I've had from all over the world, most of you by now have some idea why this happened. At the beginning of April, my friend and club chairman Steve Burns and I were involved in a serious head-on car crash on the A44 in Gloucestershire, on the way to the final local indoor flying session of the season.
