MOULD YOUR OWN UNDERCARRIAGE

I have noticed that undercarriages made from piano wire do not seem to work as well as they used to; the wire frequently needs re-bending. I have not been able to obtain tempered aluminium or Dural in this country (Australia), and for this reason I started making my own undercarriages from a mixture of carbon fibre and fibreglass. The carbon fibre gives rigidity and the fibreglass adds the flexibility, and the unit is built up like plywood.
