Our recent item 'Model Shop of Horrors' brought in an unexpected level of response, from both within and outside the model trade. Our aim was not to share mere shock stories and gloat over the failures of others and all those who got in contact picked this up. The subjects of their own stories tended to be, 'How on earth did we ever learn to fly?' And how luck can play a large part in beginners receiving sound advice at crucial stages in their introduction to our hobby.
