We had the usual problems with the weather and the Student Trainer was sitting in Kevin's office for some weeks before a suitable day was forecast, but eventually the wind dropped. It stopped raining and the sun came out for a few hours. It was still cold but three out of four can't be bad. Kevin gave the Student Trainer its first couple of flights, as he had to put in a Rx that suited his radio gear to set up the aircraft. The Saito 50 didn't want to start (it was flooded). I had inverted the engine to suit the cowling so the only option was to invert the whole plane on a stand and start it upright. Well, with a lot of spluttering and fuel sprayed all over us it finally started. What a relief, so on with the flying - Kevin first.
