Penny Hydraulics have introduced their Foldaway 500 (FV500), which, the company claims, is the first fully hydraulic 500kg-capacity vehicle-mounted crane. The lightweight, compact and robustly built FV500 crane can be installed on a wide range of commercial vehicles, providing reliable and flexible load-handling capabilities that reduce or eliminate the need for manual handling, and allowing operators to comply with health and safety regulations. The crane's self-contained hydraulics provide full 360° slew rotation with powered boom raise and lower movement for controlled, precise and safe handling, as well as all-round access to loads. This helps to ensure that there are no unexpected or sudden movements from the crane or load, even when the vehicle is parked on uneven ground.
