In recent months, Mike Phillips, general manager of the Institute, has been working closely with Proskills, the sector skills council for the extractive and minerals processing industry, on a project called 'DigIT! to BuildlT!', which aims to attract and encourage school children to consider careers in the industry by educating them on the origins of the quarried materials which surround them in their everyday lives.
